Boho Baker

Yes, you can guess what I've been up to on my fine, Day off. Baking!
I was in the kitchen a lot of the time baking my favourite, cupcakes. Although I fail epically at baking, I'm pretty proud of how it turned out and today, I'm going to share with you the pictures I have taken whilst mixing and messing. Enjoy!:

4oz of caster sugar and 4oz of softened butter. Mix, mix, mix!

2 medium eggs

Me mixing away :D

4oz of self-raising flour

Mix until all nice and soft.

Pretty close-up!

Spoon into the cases. That's probably one of my fav' parts!

It's in the oven!

Messy Cook! I was making the icing now.

But.... I failed. So it had to be thrown away :(

Checking up on my Cupcakes. They look like Green Muffins. Stupid quality.

All pretty out of the case thing. Normally, my cupcakes come out deformed, but this time, it came out pretty perfect. *proud*

Them with their toppings.

You've got the Butterfly Cupcake there, and the Shrek inspired one. By the way, I ended up using double cream as the icing :P

Heart-shaped icing. With Hundreds and Thousands sprinkled on top

And there you go. My Baking Diary, haha. *Hands over the cupcake with the heart-shaped icing to you*

Beauty Blabbing -HANDle With Care

Most of us spend a great deal of time, money and effort on our facial skincare routines, trying to delay the ageing process and to make our faces look good. Yet, we often give our hands short shrift. And it isn't a smart Move once you think about it -hands are often the first place to show signs of ageing, as I have researched.

So, why does the skin on our hands age more quickly? Simply because we expose them daily to pollution, UV Radiation and a whole load of chemicals. Not to mention our hormones play a part too.

I've researched some tips on how to look after your hands just as well as looking after our face, and the rest of our bodies. I've also added some of my own thoughts on how to take care:

-Keep tubes of hand creams in strategic places around the home, massaging it in every time you've washed your hands.

-At Night, slather on lots of cream, pop cotton gloves on top and wake up to super-smooth mitts.

-Don't forget to keep a handy tube in your bag (the car and work -for those older readers) and apply religiously.

-Always wear rubber gloves whilst handling with house chores to protect them from harsh chemicals and the drying effects of Water. *Quick easy tip -Apply hand cream, massage in well and then don rubber gloves to do the washing up. The warmth from the Water will help the cream to penetrate*

-Exfoliate regularly -Don't forget in between your fingers too!

-SPF. Plays an important part here. Apply your sunscreen to your hands just as you would to your face.

So now you've got the hand care habit, you'll find that soft, even-toned hands with perfect polished nails are a real beauty asset, especially when you're flaunting a fabulous piece of Jewelry.

Now for some Seven Simple Steps to Great-Looking Nails:
1. Remove old nail polish.
2.File nails to an even length and your desired shape. Work from the outside to the centre using long smooth strokes in one direction only -avoid using a sawing action.
3. Soak hands in a gentle hand wash (or cuticle soak) for a couple of minutes then pat dry with a towel.
4. Rub some Almond oil (or cuticle oil) into the cuticles and gently push them back.
5. Massage in the hand cream. Tissue off any excess from your nails.
6. If you're going to use a Bright, deep nail colour, use a base coat to prevent staining.
7. Follow with two coats of your chosen polish. Make sure to give them plenty of time to dry and harden -Those few extra minutes means your hard work won't be spoiled.

COLOUR WORKS*:
-Fair Skin tones work with blue-based shades. Avoid Golds and dark colours.
-Medium/ Olive Skin tones suit Yellow-based colours and vibrant shades. Try Glitters and Metallics.
-Dark Skin Tones look fab with dark, deep shades such as rich plums, Reds and Golds look great too.

My nail colour the past few Days:

Burgandy colour known as "Red Wine" from Barry M. With a cute, little white flower which I have applied with a bobby pin and used a tooth sticks for those affects.

A grey slightly shimmery coloured polish called "You Don't Know Jock" by OPI (they're frickin' PRICEY! Never buying them again. But this colour is gorgeous.)

Hope you enjoy these great facts and tips I have written out for you.

May I just add, this is the 50th post!!

Boho Blabber -What Am I Listening To Now?

Okay, so I've only, like, posted one teeny post on Music back when I first started and a friend kindly suggested for me to talk about this famous topic more often (something along those lines). So I thought I could post a post on what Music I am listening to and talk a little bit about them.

I'll start off with the solo, British Artist known as Ellie Goulding whom I am obsessed with at the moment. Not a lot of non-British people know her, which is a shame.
This British Beauty was born and raised in England and started writing her own Music at the age of 9.
Her genres in Music are mainly Indie Pop, Electropop and Folktronica.
She's won all sorts of awards such as BRIT awards and UK Festival Awards etc.

So guess what? I'm practically in Love with her Music and my most favourite track is Guns and Horses.
Something You have got to check out. I Love how her voice is a little bit shakey and her Music is kind of dancey -even though that isn't a word. I also LOVE her style. Kinda' makes me proud to be British!

As for the next Band I'm going to talk about has been suggested by the same person who suggested to talk more about Music in my blog. Credit for me falling in Love with their single "Lions In Cages" goes to simplymad.
I'm talking about the Indie band known as Wolf Gang.
I'll be honest, I've only heard 2 of their songs only because I'm so attached to "Lions In Cages". It makes me want to get up and move around. And the first time I heard the song, I smiled. A lot. Which doesn't exactly happen much, so I found it a little bit odd. Either way, it's my song of the Week. Or maybe Longer, who knows?

That's pretty much all I've got for you on Music today. I do hope you check both artists out and tell me what you think of them.
Enjoy.

OOTDs/ Boho Blabber and Special Sneak Peek!

Oh gosh, Lovies, be prepared for a big arse post. This post was initially supposed to be up yesterday, and apologies go to Nicole (Bay_watch11) for getting her excited about it, however things came up that made me not come close to a computer. So instead, it's up today, better late than never, heh?
Starting off with my Boho Blabbing. I want to come up with a different name instead of "OOTD" (Outfit Of The Day) as a lot of people are using it. And I HAVE come up with a few, but I don't know if they're good enough. Three of them are quite similar and yeah.. You decide and tell me what you think in the comments section below. They are:
-MOT (My Outfit Today)
-MOLs (My Outfit, Lovies -I'm laughing whilst writing these, grr.)
-MOBs (My Outfit, Beauties)
-WAIW (What Am I Wearing? -Maybe it can be pronounced as Way-Double U??)

So, yeah. I definitely want to use something else instead of OOTD, but I don't know what you think of these so please please please (times infinity) tell me what you think of the above names. Or perhaps you've got better ones in mind? And just to let you know quickly, I've created a club called TheArtOfBeauty on Stardoll. Join?

Moving on. I have a couple of outfits to show you today. One of them created by Nicole, actually. I asked her to create a set that is boho inspired and she kindly carried out that request. When she showed me what she came up with, I was totally excited as I had pretty much the same, if not similar, items she picked out. This is how I recreated it:

The outfit consists of:
-Sparkly, Light Brown dress from Next
-Floral/ Embroidery Bag (My Favourite Bag EVER) from Accessorize
-Heart Pendant from Dorothy Perkins
-Beaded bracelet also from Next
-Opaque foot-less Tights
-Gladiator Sandals

Love this outfit. So thanksies Nicole!

Next Outfit is:

More of a relaxed look. Items consist of:
-Long Blouse (Tied) from H&M
-Skinny Jeans (I rolled them up just above my ankles) from River Island
-Plain Olive Green Shirt tucked under bottoms
-Dark brown leather bag (can't remember where it's from..)
-Dark Brown Brogues (told ya' I'm obsessed)

Third Outfit:

You know what? This pose is actually an accident, but it turned out better looking than other ones, so yeah.
I'm wearing:
-Navy Blue Jersey Dress from Oasis
-Light Grey Long Cardigan from Miss Selfridge
-Beaded Necklace from Next
-Opaque Tights
-Navy Blue Satin Flats from Debenhams

There you go, Lovies. 3 Outfits in one post. Hope you like them.

As for the Special Sneak Peek.. How would you Girls Love for me to do a Mini Make-up Tutorial using easy steps and photos?
I've already done a Picture Tutorial on this:

How I Do My Winged-Liner.

Bu what do you think. Would you like to see how I've done it?
Let me warn you though, I'm growing out my eyebrows to re-shape them so excuse those, haha (not that you needed to know that, but I know how important it is for us to have neat eyebrows as they frame the eyes, hence me re-shaping them). So, would you like that?
Tell me below or directly via Stardoll.

Also, I'm not sure if you remember, but I posted a post about Nail Art back in January. Here's my fail attempt at a design I came up with:

What do you think of them?

Enjoy this long post :*

Boho Blabber -Padholders.

So, every Girl will go through this stage in her Life. No matter WHAT, unfortunately. Yes. I'm talking about none other than Mensturation.
But, we could always do things that would make us feel better when we're on our "Monthly Gift". Such as, use it as an excuse to relax, and lay down etc.
I don't know if you guys have discovered these yet, but Bodyform have been selling tin holders with their pads. NICE, GORGEOUS tin holders.
As shown below:

My first ever one. I actually don't like Bodyform and prefer Always, Moxie or Kotex. But, you know... This is cute :P

CUPCAKE!

I bought that yesterday.

So, keep an eye out Girlies. They're really useful, not just pretty, hehe.
Thank God for only having ONE Male reader -Haydey, grr. Otherwise, this post, I think is all right. I mean, it's something we all have to go through, so why not share tips that might just make it easier?
Enjoy

Boho Blabber.

Yes, that's what I am and that's when I get to talk about a whole load of random, gibber jabber.
I like talking. Or rather, typing. Because I'm not much of a big talker on the phone, and therefore prefer face-to-face, or typing away. So why not share some of my thoughts with you on my blog?
I'll be most likely to talk about anything, and everything. You might not even know what I'm going on about (hat's the fun part).
So, that's all I've got to say in this post, really.

Enjoy

OOTD and Beauty Blabber.

Hello Lovies.
Gosh. My first week of work was very tiring, but I some how enjoyed it. It was definitely a hella' week.
What do you lot get up to on the Weekends?
I didn't do much. In fact, I didn't do anything at all. Quite sad and waste of a weekend. Back to busy days, gr.

Here is my Outfit Of The Day:

What an awkward, awkward pose. I do apologize. I don't see myself getting any better. And a normal person would give up (hell no am I doing that) by now. Yeah, weird. But I am no professional and I don't plan for this blog to be somewhat A* standard. -Off Topic- I consider this blog a personal one, therefore I have to type the way I talk (kind of) post pictures that are ME. As in, I could easily take another shoot at a more, couture pose than this. Easy, but it's not me, is it? I'm not a couture model. I find taking pictures of myself awkward, so the picture COMES OUT awkward. Anyway, back to the outfit, stuff the pose :P

Plain Black T
Plain black Shorts -TopShop
Light Grey Long Cardigan -Miss Selfridge
Black Brogues.

As for accessories:

Patterened Tights from Accessorize (yes, I took a picture of my thigh).
And the Necklace from Next.

So, I hope enjoyed me blabbing on. Apparently my OOTD's seem some what "Unoriginal" and I don't know if I agree with that. Of course, they're something everyone else could wear. Either that, or I have no originality...
Give me your feedback. What do you think of my OOTD's? Be as honest as an honest Bee (who are honest). Go ahead and give me harsh comments (what? I'm asking for them). Seriously, I post these posts not only because I like posting, but I do it for you guys. No point in this blog existing if no one reads them.
So yeah.. Enjoy?

Random Post -Teeny tiny Haul and Hair 'Do

Hello Lovies. Day off today for me. Thank God. So, random post this is going to be.
I wanted to show you the jewelry I bought yesterday and how I have my hair done today.
So, starting off with my Hair. I am staying home today and so I put my hair up in the biggest, messiest bun. I first parted my hair on the side and did a little French braid that you can't see. Then I put it into a high pony tail and when on the last twist of the hair band, I didn't take out the whole tail, does that make sense? Either way, I did that, and I used 4 hair grips. I put my hair up against my head and gripped it. Then I pulled random tassels out and there you go.

As for my teeny tiny haul. Yesterday I just "popped" into the Bull Ring Mall to check out what they've got and came out of it buying a couple of small things. One of them being these stacked rings from H&M. I LOVE H&M mainly for their jewelry (not to mention their gorge' prices and cute shirts). So, I got this for £3.99.

The other being these pack of earrings. You won't believe it. I know the price on it says £5. And I was actually intending to buy it for that price. Heck at the cashier I handed the Lady a £5 note. And then she says: "Okay, that'll be 50p please." I'm was like 'What?' 50p? That's £4.50 off. And there wasn't a Sale going on. So I looked at the screen properly. And you know, I just thought.. What the heck. Why am I complaining? Bargain or what? THAT made my day. I couldn't believe it and still can't. I don't know why. So there you go.
I love the Ancient Key and the scissors and how all the pairs don't match at all! I've 3 of them in now (out of 6 ear piercings).

Last but not least, these gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous Grey Brogues. My favourite type of shoes in the World at the moment. I couldn't help it.
Right, I know, I know, the photo is SO not professional but who said anything about me being pro? Exactly. And anyway, too perfect is boring. And my quilt is so cute (Sam doesn't think so though...).

There you go dearies. My First Random post. Although, to come to think of it, all my posts are pretty random. Like, who's done an OOTD post in their blog before? Who talks about a Mug they bought the other Day? *Shrugs* I sure am unique, ha. Enjoy.

OOTD -First Day Of Work.

Hello Lovies. Some of you know and some of you might not know, Yesterday was the first Day of work for me at a Primary School as a Reception (ages 4-5) Teacher's Assistant!
It was was really fun and I enjoyed my time there, and shockingly, the kids were well behaved. But, you know... That good of just been an act and was their first good impression. Who knows, maybe they are actually, total maniacs. Either way, I'll have fun being insane with them, haha. Here's my Outfit I wore yesterday:

Again, I suck at posing, this is for YOUR entertainment. Go ahead and laugh.
So basically, I was a walking, talking Next. The floral Skirt is from Next, the Biege Cardigan is from Next, my plain black flats were from Next and so was the bracelet.
It's a shame I couldn't get a good picture of my necklace. I Love it. It's a teal, Gypsy inspired necklace I got from a department store called Debenhams. It's really pretty and went well with the teal stitched designs on the skirt that you probably can't see anyway.
So, I hope you enjoyed reading and laughing at this post/ picture. I enjoyed photographing my outfit a kajillion times for you lot, ha.
Enjoy

OOTD -The Bohemian Beauty I am.

Hello Lovies. Here's an OOTD.
I've uploaded two photos of the same outfit because.. Frankly, I didn't know which one was better. So you can decide. Maybe tell me which one you like best?
I've gone more me. I'm off to town, just to have Lunch with Sam and this is the outfit I will be wearing:
The dress is from a little boutique from my home town called Apricot. I Love this dress. And the sleeveless cardigan is from H&M. Underneath the dress I'm wearing black, opaque tights and for shoes, I've gone with tanned Brogues.

Excuse the mess. I couldn't be asked to sort out the clothes and what not. But, you know. At least you know this is me :P

Some Of My Art Work

Okay, so I thought, why not share with you some of my not-so-personal Art Work?
These are just random paintings/ drawings of random things. You'll see for yourself.

Still Life! I Love pencil. They're my BFF's. This was an old piece of work I found for my GCSE's Art work that I for some reason still have. :/
Random Boot. I used water colours here. I'm VERY bad with water colours, but I think this painting turned out pretty good.
Biro Pen of a pot I found in School. *sigh* memories.
This was in the Park. I found it on the grass an decided to draw it. Again, for my GCSE Art work.
Excuse the labeling. This is a drawing of a photo of a house. Second hand, I guess. Not exactly observational. I used colouring pencils.
This is in the Park, actually. Where nobody really goes. I used Water colours. But.. I should mention.. Sami helped me with this. That's how much I suck at water colours, ha. Thanks Sam.
MISTIE! My kitten. I first took a photo of her and then sketched it. Like she'd stay still.
Roar. Random tiger.
Lino Printing. If you don't know what that is, Google it. I first discovered it for Art A-Levels and I had SO much fun.

So, I hope like my work. I know this'll be stupid to say but.. All pictures I upload to this blog should stay in this blog and not copied/ Stolen. I know anyone can draw these drawings, that's why I wrote my SD username on each drawing.
Tell me what you think! Enjoy
